On March 17, Aimed Alliance sent a letter to the Michigan legislature urging the Senate Committee on Finance, Insurance, and Consumer Protection to carefully assess the potential impacts of S.B. 3, which would establish a prescription drug affordability board. The letter urged the committee to consider alternative legislation that could more effectively reduce prescription drug costs for consumers, such as implementing a copay accumulator ban or establishing step therapy safeguards. Additionally, Aimed Alliance urged the committee to prioritize patients by appointing a consumer or patient advocate to the Board and ensuring continuous consumer engagement, if it moved forward with the PDAB legislation.
