Fla. Exchange Plans See Modest Increase in Comparison to the Rest of the Nation

A new report from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) finds that silver health plan premiums are increasing by 1.2 percent overall in Florida, home to nearly 1.6 million marketplace plan holders. The changes varied in Florida’s largest cities, with Orlando prices rising 2.8 percent, while Miami prices increased by 2 percent. This increase is modest in comparison to other states nationwide, including Oklahoma, Alaska, Montana, and New Mexico, which saw increases of 25 percent or higher on premiums.
